What are the responsibilities and job description for the GEAR Up Tutor position at Davis County High School?
We are currently seeking dedicated and motivated individuals to join our GEAR Up program as tutors. Both peer tutors and professional tutors are encouraged to apply.
Position Types:

Peer Tutors – $15/hour

Professional Tutors – $30/hour
Responsibilities:

Provide academic support to students, at the freshman level

Assist with understanding course material, completing assignments, and developing study skills

Maintain a supportive and encouraging learning environment
Peer Tutor Requirements:
-
Must be a student in good standing
-
Strong attendance record
-
Maintain an A average in coursework

Demonstrated ability to tutor freshman-level classes

Willingness to provide tutoring outside of scheduled class times
Professional Tutor Requirements:

Demonstrated expertise in subject areas relevant to freshman-level courses

Ability to provide tutoring outside of contracted hours

Strong communication and instructional skills
