Position Overview
The Accountant will work with the financial operations of Davis Clinical, ensuring accurate and timely management of payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting functions. This role will work closely with leadership to maintain strong financial systems, monitor cash flow, and support continued growth across multiple business lines.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Management
- Manage all day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
- Prepare and process invoices, expense reports, and reimbursements.
- Monitor and reconcile bank and credit card accounts.
- Maintain organized financial records and ensure accurate entry into accounting software.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes.
Payroll Administration
- Process biweekly payroll, ensuring accuracy of employee hours, deductions, and benefits.
- Maintain payroll records and coordinate with HR for employee changes, bonuses, and reimbursements.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal payroll laws and reporting requirements.
Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare monthly financial reports for leadership review.
- Track budgets, project billing, and profitability across client engagements.
- Support tax preparation and annual filings with CPA partners.
- Maintain compliance with internal financial policies and controls.
Additional Duties
- Assist in creating and maintaining financial tracking tools and spreadsheets for leadership.
- Collaborate with operations to ensure accuracy of billable hours, consultant expenses, and client invoices.
- Identify opportunities for efficiency and automation within accounting processes.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3 years of accounting experience preferred; healthcare or consulting background a plus.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
