As Accountant, our ideal candidate will bring substantial experience, strong analytical skills and be a proactive, self-starter to hit the ground running. They should thrive in a fast paced environment, working independently and effectively to drive results. State and local tax knowledge and experience a plus. Previous Asset management and inventory experience helpful. Ultimately, this position will ensure that all of Crest Foods' accounting functions are run accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities Include (and are not limited to):

· Monitor and manage multi-state income tax returns and filing requirements along with outside auditor.

· Calculate and remit estimated income tax payments.

· Remain current with SALT regulations and advise on compliance strategies.

· Maintain fixed assets and manage asset project progression working closely with other managers.

· Analyze inventory and variance information - collect/report/analyze.

· Complete various U.S. Census Bureau requests.

· Assist in the preparation of annual budgets. Monitor actual performance against budgets and investigate variances. Collaborate with department heads to gather and consolidate budget inputs.

· Perform month end close responsibilities; including multiple journal postings, reconciling accounts, and preparing ad-hoc reports.

· Proactively identify and communicate any financial issues on a timely basis.

· Prepare formal financial presentation material delivered to internal and external readers.

· Perform annual year end close responsibilities and provide all requested information to auditors.

· Provide support and respond to information requests from internal departments.

· Serve as backup to other accounting tasks within the department.

· Perform other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.

Skills Required:

· Multiple years proven accounting experience; Bachelor's Degree in Accounting preferred

· Accuracy and attention to detail is necessary

· Advanced proficiency in MS Excel to efficiently gather, organize and analyze data (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, INDEX, HLOOKUP).

· Ability to professionally interact and communicate effectively with internal and external parties, excellent verbal and written skills.

· Strong organizational skills and ability to work in high-volume, fast paced environment to meet multiple deadlines

· Solid problem-solving skills, using logic and experience to resolve issues both independently and with other managers

· Experience working with inventory preferred

· Experience working in manufacturing environment preferred

Pay: $50, $75,000.00 per year
