Job Description
Davis Behavioral Health (DBH) is actively recruiting a part-time Live-in Residential Manager/Recovery Support Specialist to work in the Begin Again Sober Living Unit (BARC).
The Live-In Housing Manager provides supportive oversight and leadership for a DBH-operated Recovery Residence. This individual is responsible for helping maintain a sober, safe and structured living environment for residents in early recovery. The manager ensures adherence to house rules, promotes peer accountability, provides resident support and ensures the property is kept in good condition.
Begin Again Recovery Residence is a 20-bed recovery residence for adult males seeking a sober, safe and structured environment that supports recovery.
The successful applicant must:

Have at least one (1) year of recovery, and have the state Certified Peer Support certification or be eligible to be certified.
Essential Job Functions
The Live-In Housing Manager Is responsible for performing the following essential job functions at the expected level and within the expected timeframes:
- Ensure adherence to house rules and program expectations.
- Responsible for property and safety oversight.
- Provide random checks of the residence.
- Responsible for providing peer supportive services to residents and potential residents.
- Serve as a sober role model and peer leader in the home.
- Effective communication with residents and supervisory staff.
- Ensure effective and timely documentation related to residents and the residence.
- Participate in weekly house meetings to support residents.
- Monitor waiting list and facilitate residents moving in and moving out of the recovery residence.
- Orient new residents upon arrival including reviewing rules and expectations.
- Conduct weekly house meetings to support residents.
- Be available to address any in-home emergencies.
- Other duties and responsibilities and needed and assigned.

Qualifications/Skills & Abilities
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Training
Complete all required training that is assigned to the Live-In Housing Manager position by defined deadlines.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- All employees at DBH must successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background check as well as a pre-employment drug screening. Since Davis Behavioral Health works with Federal grants the company and its employees must comply with the Federal drug laws, including no use of medical marijuana.
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- A clean driving record is also required to utilize the DBH vehicle fleet.

Experience
Required
- Minimum of one (1) year of continuous sobriety in recovery.
- Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS) or equivalent credentials.
- Ability to live on-site, full-time.
- Possess a valid driver's license.
- Demonstrate ability to lead peers and maintain healthy boundaries.
Preferred
- Prior experience in recovery housing, transitional living or peer mentoring.
- Knowledge of 12-Step and other evidence-based recovery models.
Location
The Begin Again Sober Living Unit is located in Farmington, Utah. The Live-in Residential Managers are required to live in the recovery residence.
Physical Demands
Tasks require a variety of physical activities, not involving muscular strain, but do require frequent walking, standing, stooping, sitting, reaching, talking, hearing, and seeing. Common eye, hand, and finger dexterity are required for many tasks. Mental application utilizes memory for details, verbal instructions, emotional stability, and discriminating thinking. Periodic interaction with youth or adults in crisis requiring participation in de-escalation processes may occur causing stress or threat of physical injury.
Work Environment
- 20-bed Recovery Residence.
- Live on site full-time.
- Maintain presence in the home during evening and weekend hours.
Shift/Schedule
The successful candidate will be scheduled 20 hours per week to provide Recovery Support Specialist services to the clients living at the Begin Again Sober Living Unit. The shifts assigned to this position are outlined below:

Thursday: 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Friday: 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Saturday: 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Work schedules at DBH are established to meet the needs of our clients and the agency. Program Supervisors, with the approval of Program Directors, determine the specific schedules for their assigned departments and have the authority to ask employees to work a different shift and/or in a different location on a short-term or permanent basis to meet the departments' needs.
Compensation
The starting hourly rate for this position is $17.75 per hour for the 20 hours working in a Recovery Support Specialist capacity.
In addition, the successful candidates' rent will be provided by Davis Behavioral Health at the BARC facility.

The part-time positions at DBH are not eligible to participate in the agency's benefits program.

DBH Criminal Background Check & Drug Screening Disclaimer
Davis Behavioral Health is a drug-free workplace and requires all employees to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening. Salary : $18
