Major Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in preparing and filing various immigration forms, including E-2, NIW, EB-1 and L visa applications
- Coordinate with attorneys on special requests or complex projects.
- Prepare and organize case files, maintaining accurate records and documentation throughout the legal process.
- Maintain organized electronic and physical case files, ensuring all documents are filed accurately and are accessible.
- Schedule and conduct client meetings, interviews, and consultations to gather relevant information and documents.
- Follow the instructions and guidance provided by the Lead Paralegal to ensure consistency and accuracy in case handling and documentation
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates on case progress and responding to inquiries in a timely manner.
- Prepare and file complete paperwork promptly, keeping track of applications in Docketwise system of record and ensuring all bases are covered.
- Monitor case deadlines and ensure timely submission of all required documents and filings.
- Assist in client intake and provide exceptional client service throughout the immigration process.
- EOIR Stay updated on changes in immigration law and policy, particularly EB Immigration law.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School required, Paralegal Certification or Bachelor's preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience, 10 years preferred in employment immigration specifically.
- Has extensive knowledge of legal immigration processes
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and under tight deadlines.
- Must have people skills required to work with clients who are anxious and distressed
