Qualified Professional:
Davidson Family Services has a position open in the Asheville/Swannanoa area for an IDD/MH Qualified Professional. Experience with Residential or other Innovative Waiver services is required.
Education and Experience:
Candidates must have either: a bachelor's degree in a human service field with 2 years of full time, post degree experience in MH/IDD/SAS; a bachelor's degree in another field with 4 years of full time, post degree experience; or a master's degree in a human service field with 1 year of full time, post degree experience in MH/IDD/SAS.
Prior QP experience is required.
Roles and Duties:
The qualified professional should: supervise the paraprofessionals and monitors the day program for safety; participate in PCPs and ensure updates are completed in a timely manner; create data sheets; record progress of goals, maintain QP notes and guardian contacts; must have the ability to make sound judgement in emergency situations; attend required meetings; ability to multi task, have proficient data entry, close attention to details and organizational skills.
The ideal candidate for this position is also a "people person" whom is willing to be a strong advocate for the members as well as being cordial to guardians, staff, and other team members.
Guardian and stakeholder contact is very important in this position, so candidates having a "warm and fuzzy" demeanor is a strong plus!
Minor duties would also include involvement in Marketing teams and decisions and helping promote our monthly newsletter.
Other Requirements:
Must be able to pass drug screening
Must pass criminal and driver’s records check
Must have reliable transportation and a valid NC Driver’s License
Must attend all necessary training, meetings, and required classes.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $37,477.00 - $40,044.00 per year
