Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primer as needed.
- Execute a variety of painting techniques including brush, roller, airless spray, and specialty finishes on residential and commercial properties.
- Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to determine project scope and specifications.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete painting tasks and minor carpentry repairs such as trim carpentry or fixture installation.
- Perform surface restoration work including stucco repair, masonry touch-ups, concrete finishing, and drywall finishing.
- Apply industrial or renovation-specific coatings using appropriate techniques while adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to ensure timely completion of projects within budget and quality standards.
Skills
- Extensive experience in residential painting, commercial painting, construction painting, and renovation projects.
- Strong knowledge of color theory to achieve desired aesthetic effects.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, airless paint spraying equipment, welding equipment, and scaffolding setups.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately.
- Familiarity with plastering, caulking, stucco application, masonry work, drywall finishing, and concrete or masonry repair.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to project scope.
- Experience with fixture installation, restoration work, frame carpentry, trim carpentry, maintenance tasks, and handyman services.
- Knowledge of industrial painting techniques and schematics for specialized coating applications.
