Davidson Ford is looking for someone interested in learning the world of Automotive parts! We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, motivation, good organizational skills, time management, and a willingness to learn.
Pay Range: $17/hr.
Hours: 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday - Friday with an occasional Saturday to help with Inventory.
Responsibilities:
- Receiving in parts and stocking bins / shelves correctly.
- Preparing orders for customers.
- Dispatching parts to the Auto Techs within the Service department.
- Learning and participating in inventory management.
- Training for the Parts Consultant role.
- Help to organize the parts room as needed.
- Travel between other Davidson locations and vendors may be required.
- Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Required Skills:
- Have an interest in learning the automotive and parts industry.
- Have a positive attitude.
- Be a problem solving multi-tasker.
- Be able to work well in a team environment.
- Have strong communication skills.
- Be comfortable and proficient with technology and learning new systems.
- Be able to work in a fast paced environment.
- Must be able to lift at least 80 lbs.
- Must be able to climb stairs throughout shift.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid / clean driver’s license.
Preferred Skills:
- Completion of any automotive or related 2 year BOCES training, a plus
- Previous automotive knowledge or parts experience.
- Prior experience in sales, retail, customer service, or administrative.
