DMA’s Field Services Team conducts a variety of safety and utility inspections. Specific duties of each inspection vary based on the client, and project guidelines and legal standards. Through clear documentation and required check-ins, our inspectors ensure delivery of safe and best practices.

This seasonal position will begin training on May 4th, 2026 & will need to report to the job-site in Peoria, Illinois on Monday, May 18th, 2026. The schedule for this job will be 6, 10-12 hour days.

DMA is looking for an experienced Coating Inspector (NACE): The coating inspector will visually observe coating activities to assure all aspects of the coating are being done in strict accordance with the project specifications, code requirements and industry standards. This includes the qualification of coating procedures and personne1 applying the coating, as well as the monitoring of the actual field coating of pipelines and re1ated facilities. This inspection will be conducted by a NACE CIP Level 1 certified inspector. A NACE CIP Level 2 inspector would be requested by Ameren as required.

Required Skills:

  • Familiar in Microsoft Office Tools (Teams, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and Document Control Management Software
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
  • Possess organizational and time management skills
  • OHSA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification is be required for MAPS, Field Services and Survey Divisions.

Education & Experience:

  • Highschool Diploma and 1-year related experience and/or training required.
  • 1 year certification from a technical school, or currently enrolled in some secondary-education program or institution is preferred.

  • Some inspections take place in hard-to-reach areas. Examples of difficult access include dense woods, corn fields, fenced private property, and regulated facilities like quarries, steel plants and power plants.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear.
  • The employee frequently is required to use arms (hands & fingers) to handle or feel and reach.
  • The employee is frequently required to stand, walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl when collecting data in the field.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions.
  • The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; slippery wet paved embankments; potholes, usually hidden by underbrush; railroad tracks with loose rock ballast slopes; vertical walls such as storm channels; large sewer tunnels with uneven or curved slippery floors; or gravel/loose stone creek bottoms.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate except when working near highways or airports which can expose the employee to a high noise level requiring hearing protection
