An opportunity currently exists for an experienced Quality Control Manager to lead, manage, and direct the quality control functions to ensure the independent verification of quality standards is met throughout all phases of the construction process for the JSOC Microgrid project at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
The project involves the construction of an electric microgrid system, including providing a two-megawatt diesel generator, a new switchgear building, renovations to an existing switchgear building, a new fuel farm with distribution to the new and four existing generators, new pad-mounted medium-voltage electrical equipment, and concrete-encased power and communication duct banks with a contract value of $42.6M.
As a Quality Control Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Leading, managing, and directing the quality control staff.
- Interacting with Owner’s representatives to address and resolve quality control issues.
- Implementing the three-phase control system for all aspects of work.
- Daily observation of the work and performing ongoing inspections to ensure work is performed in accordance with approved submittals and contract requirements.
- Reviewing all inspections and test reports to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
- Ensuring submittals are timely received, reviewed, submitted to the Government, and tracked in project management software.
- Ensuring documentation of quality control activities.
- Project close-out.
The successful candidate must be a graduate engineer, graduate architect, or a graduate of construction management with a minimum of seven (7) years of construction experience on projects of similar size and type.
