Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Plant Manager, The Material Expediter will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Safety 24/7/365
- May assist with preparing loads, staging material and moving material in the yard
- Notify supervisor of current or anticipated maintenance needs
- Verify load is secure and weight evenly distributed
- Verify trailer load to ensure conformance with shipping documents
- Transport material through shop/yard
- Load trailers safely/efficiently
- Forklift Operation
- Crane/hoist Operation
- Correctly fill and maintain paperwork for outgoing loads
- Other duties as requested
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lift 50 lbs repetitively
- Physical ability to work and maneuver around work areas
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and follow written instruction
- Able to pass Random DOT & Company drug test
- Clean Driving Record
- Good math skills
