Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Jr. Fitter/Welder will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Read and follow detailed written instructions and fabrication drawings.
- Perform accurate measurements and calculations using feet, inches, and fractions.
- Operate carbon air-arc equipment for back gouging processes.
- Ensure safe work practices are adhered to, and appropriate PPE is worn at all times.
Training:
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints.
- Learn to read a tape measure.
- Learn to operate overhead cranes.
- Learn health and safety procedures.
- Learn to be a team player, who can interrelate and operate effectively with peers and other
associates within a collegial, yet demanding, work environment.
- Learn organizational skills and learn to be flexible in managing changing priorities.
- Learn communication skills–both written and oral.
- Learn analytical and problem-solving skills.
