Job Description
Dauphin County Technical School is seeking a reliable, energetic, and team-oriented Cafeteria Aide to assist in the preparation, service, and cleanup of daily meals served to students and staff. This position plays a vital role in supporting a safe, clean, and welcoming food service environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous food service or kitchen experience a plus
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Assist in preparing and serving meals in a timely and sanitary manner
- Set up serving areas and ensure proper portion control
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment
- Monitor food stock levels and inform supervisor of supply needs
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries
- Follow all food safety and hygiene standards
- Interact with students and staff in a friendly, respectful manner
- Starting Date: January 12, 2026
- Compensation: 16.50 per hour
