This is a full-time, 10-month position with daytime hours, making it a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a team environment, and wants to be part of a school community.
As a Cafeteria Aide, you will play an important role in keeping our cafeteria operations running smoothly while helping provide students and staff with a positive and welcoming mealtime experience.
Because teamwork and flexibility are essential to our cafeteria operation, the successful candidate must be willing to cross-train in a variety of cafeteria positions and responsibilities. Depending on daily operational needs, you may assist with meal preparation, serving, cashiering, dishwashing, cleaning, stocking, or other kitchen-related duties.
Your work directly supports our students by helping ensure they receive safe, nutritious meals in a clean, friendly, and efficient environment.
What You'll Do
- Help prepare and serve meals to students and staff
- Welcome and assist students during meal service with a friendly and positive attitude
- Assist with basic food preparation, portioning, and food service
- Help maintain an organized and efficient serving area
- Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, equipment, and work surfaces
- Keep kitchen, serving, and dining areas clean and sanitary
- Restock food, beverages, utensils, and supplies as needed
- Safely operate kitchen equipment and follow established procedures
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene requirements
- Assist with cashiering and other cafeteria functions as assigned
- Work cooperatively with cafeteria staff to support daily operations
- Cross-train in multiple cafeteria positions and be willing to perform different duties based on operational needs

Previous food service, cafeteria, or kitchen experience is a plus, but not required.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Compensation
Starting rate: $16.50 per hour
