Job Summary
DAU Construction, Cameron Park's premier deck builder and outdoor construction contractor, is seeking an experienced Carpenter/Laborer to join our team. We specialize in custom decks, concrete work, and patio covers for residential clients throughout El Dorado County, Placer County and Sacramento area. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of hands-on experience in carpentry or general construction labor and takes pride in quality craftsmanship. This is a great opportunity for a skilled tradesperson looking to grow with a reputable, established local company.
Duties
- Construct, install, custom decks, patio covers, and related outdoor structures
- Perform concrete form-building, pouring, and finishing work
- Measure, cut, and assemble lumber, decking materials, and hardware to project specs
- Operate and maintain hand tools and power tools safely (saws, drills, nail guns, levels, etc.)
- Load, unload, and transport materials and equipment to and from job sites
- Prepare job sites, including site cleanup and material staging
- Work collaboratively with crew members and follow direction from lead carpenter/foreman
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Communicate professionally
Skills & Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Minimum 3 years of experience in carpentry, framing, or construction labor (deck-building experience a plus)
- Own a basic set of hand tools and power tools, and demonstrate proficiency
- Working knowledge of concrete work (forming, pouring, finishing) preferred
- Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, stand, bend, kneel, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and attention to detail
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
