Senior Project Engineer- Data Centers
Position Overview
DataX Connect are representing a Data Center Specialist Owner’s Representative seeking a Senior Project Engineer to work on a hyperscale campus in Goodyear, AZ. This role supports day-to-day execution of project controls, documentation, and coordination activities across design, construction, commissioning, and closeout, working closely with internal teams and design-build contractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Support submittal, RFI, change order, and document control workflows.
- Assist with contract and purchase order processing for project vendors.
- Maintain compliance with project document control standards and file requirements.
- Support commissioning, closeout, and turnover documentation, including customer and operations handover materials.
- Assist with financial tracking, monthly cost reporting, and forecasting.
- Input PO requests in the financial system and coordinate distribution to vendors.
- Support scheduling of meetings, travel, and maintenance activities.
- Perform two weekly site walks to support safety observations and reporting.
- Assist with project scheduling, closeout checklists, and insurance documentation.
- Support office and site operations, including supplies and administrative needs.
- Translate project requirements into execution with minimal supervision.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3 years of experience as a Project Engineer or Project Coordinator on data center projects.
- Experience with CSA (civil, structural, architectural) and MEP construction preferred.
- Contract preparation experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Procore strongly preferred.
