Mechanical Commissioning Engineer- Data Centers
We’re proud to be partnering with a Global Engineering Firm at the forefront of mission-critical infrastructure delivery, to recruit a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing commissioning team delivering complex mechanical systems across cutting-edge data centre environments.
The Role
As the Mechanical Cx Engineer, you’ll support the full commissioning lifecycle, from design review through to functional testing and client handover, working alongside senior engineers while taking ownership of key site activities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Commissioning mechanical, plumbing, fire alarm & suppression systems
- Supporting commissioning plans, procedures & documentation
- Functional testing using specialist instrumentation
- Factory acceptance testing (FAT) attendance
- Reviewing designs against client performance goals
- Reporting system performance & technical issues
- Coordinating with project teams & contractors
- Mentoring junior engineers
You’ll gain exposure to a wide range of systems including chillers, cooling towers, CRAC units, generators, boilers, BMS/PLC controls, fire systems, hydronics, and more.
About You
We’re keen to speak with candidates who have:
- Mechanical Engineering degree or relevant commissioning experience
- Mission-critical / data centre project exposure (essential)
- Strong mechanical systems knowledge
- Experience with BMS / controls (advantageous)
- Familiarity with ASHRAE or BCxA guidelines (desirable)
- A proactive, client-facing mindset
Travel
- Nationwide travel typically 50–75% (project dependent) but candidates local to job sites will be kept local.
