Role Overview
The client is seeking a MuleSoft Integration Developer to design and deliver API-led integration solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform within a healthcare (health plan) environment. This role focuses on building secure, scalable integrations supporting clinical and business workflows. The role is based in Phoenix, AZ, and is open to candidates within a 100 miles radius of Phoenix, AZ.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement API-led integrations using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (Mule 4)
Develop, test, and deploy Mule applications using Anypoint Studio and Exchange
Build and maintain API specifications using RAML/OAS
Integrate healthcare systems including claims, eligibility, enrollment, and provider data platforms
Work with healthcare standards such as HL7, FHIR R4, EDI X12, and NCPDP
Implement error handling, retry logic, and resilient integration patterns
Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize integrations
Manage APIs with SLA tiers, rate limiting, and security policies
Enforce API security including OAuth 2.0, JWT, mTLS, and IP filtering
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and secure handling of PHI
Collaborate with teams to translate requirements into technical designs
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and maintain technical documentation
