DataStaff, Inc is seeking a Network and Audio-Visual Specialist for a long-term contract opportunity with one of our direct clients located in Raleigh, NC.

Job Description:
The Technical Specialist has an overall knowledge and understanding of Networking and Webex that serves as a strong base for technical expertise in a specific product or program. Demonstrates expertise in conveying technical and functional concepts for a specific technical specialty. Identifies improvements to project standards to achieve high-quality services/ products. Able to identify best practices and standards for the use of the product. Delivers support and design for industry-specific applications that require integration with statewide systems or applications. Interacts with executive-level business users or technical experts. May function as a niche technical SME. Advanced experience in the required technical subject matter. Proven experience with a technical specialty across large and complex implementations and systems.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct feasibility studies.
- Perform data modeling, process modeling and prototyping, and create conceptual and detailed architecture/designs (network and security), detailed specifications, Webex infrastructure implementation plans, and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) product integration plans.
- Install, configure, integrate and test (all levels) IT infrastructure components/systems (custom and COTS).
- Perform product/system research and review.
- Work with the Senior Architect to ensure continuity of planned technologies.
- Review technical documents produced by the Developer or other external sources.
- Assist with issue and risk management.
- Assist in any development and review of project management and technical documentation.
- Perform tasks as assigned by the Project Manager.
Knowledge and Experience:
- An in-depth understanding of distributed computing using N-tier, distributed processing, client/server, and Internet/intranet technologies.
- Experience with the implementation of both COTS and customized enterprise networks.
- Experience developing technical and non-technical solutions for supporting business process reengineering.
- Experience acting as liaison between business and technical staff
- Experience developing/reviewing assessment tools.
- Experience with performing impact technical analysis
- Able to produce accurate and thorough technical documentation.
- Experience with developing and reviewing technical requirements, designs and implementation plans.
- The Advanced Technology Specialist must have Technical Lead experience on large, complex automation/IT infrastructure implementation projects.
- CCNP, CCIE, Certified Cisco Specialist or equivalent experience is required.
- Eight (8) years’ experience is the minimum preferred for the proposed Advanced Technology Specialist.
Required Skills:
- 6 Years - A resource that understands networking technology and how Audio-Visual works with it.
- 6 Years - Must have vast Cisco Webex experience, along with the setup of Webex Boards and all connectivity associated with that.
- 6 Years - Perform technical analysis of the current “as-built " network/Webex infrastructure
- 6 Years - Gather and define business, functional and technical requirements for Cisco Webex Infrastructure and software.
- 6 Years - Provide IT infrastructure/systems support and transition knowledge to operations and maintenance support staff.
- 6 Years - Create technical documentation and training materials.
- 6 Years - Perform technical architecture and other deliverable reviews for large-scale projects.
- 6 Years - In-depth knowledge of network infrastructures, Wi-Fi Protected Access 2 (WPA2); video conferencing, firewalls, voice, data and unified communications
- 6 Years - Strong communication, interpersonal, presentation and interviewing/facilitation skills.
