DataSoft Technologies is actively seeking an I&C Engineering Professional Associate to support a leading semiconductor manufacturing client in Boise, ID. If you have experience in Instrumentation & Controls (I&C), industrial control systems, and engineering design, we'd love to connect with you!
What You'll Do
As a Facilities Instrumentation Engineering Owner's Representative, you'll play a critical role in supporting advanced semiconductor manufacturing projects by:
β Providing engineering and design oversight during semiconductor tool installations.
β Reviewing instrumentation & controls designs for factory control systems, fire alarm systems, chemical controls, toxic gas monitoring (TGM), and PLCs.
β Developing and reviewing technical specifications for tool installations.
β Reviewing vendor submittals to ensure compliance with client requirements and industry standards.
β Collaborating with facilities, construction teams, vendors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams to successfully execute complex projects.
Required Qualifications
β Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical/Chemical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
β 5 years of experience designing industrial control systems.
β Strong knowledge of IFC, IMC, UL, and IEEE standards.
β Experience selecting and specifying electrical and control systems.
β Experience reviewing vendor submittals and technical documentation.
β Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
β Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license.
β 2 years of semiconductor manufacturing experience.
β Field experience supporting construction or subcontractors.
β Familiarity with Revit, AutoCAD, or other BIM/CAD software.
β Passion for innovation, continuous learning, and process improvement.
Additional Information
π 12 Month Contract
π Hybrid work schedule:
β’ Approximately 50% onsite during the first month
β’ One week onsite per month thereafter
π Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (No sponsorship available).
π Background check and drug screening required.
π Field work may include walking long distances, climbing ladders, and working in active construction environments.
