Industrial Maintenance Technician

Job Role: Maintenance Technician – 3rd Shift

Location: Chambersburg, PA

Work Schedule: 3rd Shift (9:00 PM – 7:00 AM; rotating schedule)

Pay & Benefits:

· Hourly Rate: $31.11–$31.94 (Paid Weekly)

· Shift Differential: $3/hr (for 4 consecutive hours between 3 PM–7 AM)

· Weekend Premium: $46.67–$52.41/hr (depending on experience)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

· Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment (engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, production machines)

· Perform preventative maintenance and adjustments

· Operate and maintain drill press, grinder, handsaw, and other metalworking tools

· Repair electrical and electronic equipment, pumps, fans, valves, and motors

· Weld stainless steel and aluminum components

· Lubricate, clean, and maintain tools and equipment

· Initiate purchase orders for parts and machines

· Follow safety, food safety, quality, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)

· Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area

· Communicate with supervisors regarding tasks, completion, and deviations

· Interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and inspection manuals

· Perform minor plumbing as needed

Supervisory Responsibilities:

· This position has no supervisory responsibilities

Qualifications:

Education / Experience:

· High School Diploma or GED

· 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience

Skills:

· Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos

· Write simple correspondence and present information effectively

· Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide; compute rate, ratio, percent; interpret bar graphs

· Mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills

Physical Demands:

· Walk, stand, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, lift/move up to 50 lbs

· Use hands and arms regularly; reach, grasp, handle objects

· Perform tasks at varying heights and in varying conditions

Working Environment:

· Exposure to wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles

· Occasionally exposed to high places, chemicals, outside weather, electrical risk, vibration

· Noise level is usually loud; temperature may vary depending on production area

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $31.00 per hour
