As a Business Development Manager at Data Clean, you play a vital role in growing and maintaining client relationships. Your responsibilities include expanding existing contracts, acquiring new clients, and partnering with the Customer Support Manager to renew services. By becoming a subject matter expert and trusted advisor, you'll develop a deep understanding of each client's facilities, needs, service history, and overall relationship with Data Clean. You'll also use your industry expertise to design tailored solutions and scopes of work for prospective clients. To succeed, you’ll master all internal systems and processes, enabling you to manage service scheduling, collaborate across teams, and deliver an exceptional customer experience while driving business growth.
What You’ll Work On
- Partner with the Customer Support Manager to develop and renew existing accounts, ensuring retention and growth.
- Identify and pursue expansion opportunities for additional services, new locations, or products.
- Address client concerns promptly to secure renewals, expansions, and new business.
- Maintain strong, ongoing communication with clients to nurture relationships and support satisfaction.
- Present regular updates to the management team on renewal and expansion activities.
- Meet or exceed KPIs and monthly benchmarks for calls, emails, meetings, proposals, contract expansions, and renewals.
- Create and execute strategic sales plans based on territory, segment, operational capabilities, and company goals.
- Adjust sales presentations through effective discovery of client needs and goals.
- Monitor competitive activity and market trends to inform sales strategy and positioning.
- Collaborate closely with Operations and Support Teams on pricing, scope of work, scheduling, and client-specific requirements.
- Work with the Billing Team to gather invoicing instructions, manage pay applications, and ensure accurate, timely billing.
- Coordinate with HUB to provide clients with insurance documents (COIs) as needed.
- Support internal month-end cleanup and follow-up on unresolved or unscheduled service items.
- Log all sales activity, proposals, and results in CRM (Pipedrive) to ensure accurate pipeline tracking.
- Enter service and scheduling information into systems and schedule future tasks for your CSM partner.
- Run Renewal and Potential Sales Reports at least two months in advance to facilitate timely renewals.
- Upload contracts/POs to Pipedrive and maintain accurate account documentation.
- Gather technician-generated upsell opportunities and work with the Customer Support Manager to close deals.
- Provide operational support such as crew names, service reminders, and satisfaction surveys to clients.
- Familiarize yourself with and manage client-specific platforms such as Corrigo, Procore, Ariba, etc.
