We are seeking an experienced Lead Systems Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and operational support of enterprise-grade monitoring and observability solutions for cloud-hosted applications and infrastructure.
This role provides technical leadership to engineering teams while working closely with government customers and stakeholders to translate performance, availability, and operational requirements into scalable and reliable monitoring solutions.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Splunk, AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, APM tools, and performance engineering, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability across mission-critical systems.
- Experience:8 years of IT experience
- 5 years in:
- Application Performance Management (APM)
- Cloud Monitoring & Observability
- Performance Engineering
- Production Support / Reliability Engineering
Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in:
- Splunk (Enterprise & Observability Cloud)
- AWS CloudWatch
- Azure Monitor
- APM tools (Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic)
- Experience with synthetic monitoring and alerting
- Strong knowledge of Java/JVM performance tuning
- Proficiency in scripting:
- Shell, PowerShell, Python, Regex
- Solid understanding of:
- AWS infrastructure, networking, and cloud operations
