Maintenance Technician II
Location: Chambersburg, PA

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment (engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, production machines)
• Perform preventative maintenance and adjustments
• Operate and maintain drill press, grinder, handsaw, and other metalworking tools
• Repair electrical and electronic equipment, pumps, fans, valves, and motors
• Weld stainless steel and aluminum components
• Lubricate, clean, and maintain tools and equipment
• Initiate purchase orders for parts and machines
• Follow safety, food safety, quality, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area
• Communicate with supervisors regarding tasks, completion, and deviations
• Interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and inspection manuals
• Perform minor plumbing as needed

Supervisory Responsibilities

• This position has no supervisory responsibilities

Qualifications

Education / Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience

Skills:

• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos
• Write simple correspondence and present information effectively
• Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide; compute rate, ratio, percent; interpret bar graphs
• Mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills

Physical Demands:

• Walk, stand, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, lift/move up to 50 lbs
• Use hands and arms regularly; reach, grasp, handle objects
• Perform tasks at varying heights and in varying conditions

Working Environment:

• Exposure to wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles
• Occasionally exposed to high places, chemicals, outside weather, electrical risk, vibration
• Noise level is usually loud; temperature may vary depending on production area

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $25.47 - $35.00 per hour
