Dassel-Cokato Public Schools is seeking a Health Assistant.
The Health Assistant supports the health and wellness needs of students and staff within the school environment. This position assists with daily health office operations, provides basic first aid and health care support, maintains student health records, and collaborates with school personnel, families, and community health providers to promote a safe and healthy learning environment.
Duties
- Administer daily medications
- Provide first aid services to students as needed for injuries
- Attend to students with soiled clothing
- Maintain student health records through Infinite Campus
- Correspond with parents on health needs of children and or emergencies
- Perform miscellaneous clerical health duties as requested by Licensed School Nurse or Principal
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Ability to think critically and problem solve
- Ability to work cooperatively with children and adults
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to record and maintain accurate health records
- Ability to be a team player
Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- AA Degree or Higher (Preferred)
- Certified in CPR
- Certified in Basic First Aid
- CNA Certification or LPN Licensure (Preferred)
Salary and Benefits
- Benefits per Paraprofessional Contract
- 172 Days per contract year
- 7:45-3:15 Monday-Friday
