Summary
We are seeking an IT Systems Administrator with 3–5 years of hands-on experience supporting IT systems in a logistics, warehousing, distribution, or supply chain environment. This role will assist with the daily administration of our network, server, user support, and warehouse technology environment, with a strong focus on supporting and administering Warehouse Management Systems.
The ideal candidate has experience working directly with warehouse operations, understands how WMS systems support receiving, inventory, picking, packing, shipping, and reporting, and can bridge the gap between IT and operations.
Essential Functions
- Administer, support, and troubleshoot Warehouse Management System functionality, users, configuration, reporting, and operational issues.
- Work directly with warehouse, logistics, and operations teams to resolve system issues impacting receiving, inventory, picking, packing, shipping, and order fulfillment.
- Assist with WMS user setup, permissions, configuration changes, testing, documentation, and process support.
- Support WMS integrations with related business systems, including EDI, reporting tools, scanners, printers, and other warehouse technology.
- Assist with the administration, configuration, and support of Microsoft and Linux server environments.
- Monitor network and server performance and help diagnose connectivity, system, application, and warehouse technology issues.
- Install, configure, patch, and upgrade servers, workstations, applications, RF devices, printers, and related IT equipment.
- Provide technical support for end users, including hardware, software, network, access, and warehouse system issues.
- Support telecommunications equipment and related connectivity needs.
- Assist with LAN/WAN maintenance, network troubleshooting, and day-to-day infrastructure operations.
- Help maintain backup, disaster recovery, cybersecurity, and system restore procedures.
- Support Microsoft 365 administration, Active Directory, user accounts, permissions, and related systems.
- Assist with vendor coordination, system implementations, documentation, and IT projects as needed.
- Maintain clear documentation of systems, procedures, troubleshooting steps, and completed work.
Required Experience
- 3–5 years of hands-on IT experience in systems administration, WMS administration, network support, helpdesk escalation, or a similar technical role.
- Previous IT experience in a logistics, warehousing, distribution, 3PL, transportation, or supply chain environment.
- Hands-on experience supporting, administering, or managing a Warehouse Management System.
- Experience troubleshooting WMS-related operational issues, including inventory, receiving, picking, shipping, RF/scanner, label printing, and user access issues.
- Experience supporting Microsoft server technologies, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Windows workstations, and common business applications.
- Basic to intermediate understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, switches, and wireless networks.
- Ability to work on-site in the Naperville, IL area.

Preferred Skills
Experience with any of the following is a plus:
- WMS platforms such as Infios, HighJump, Körber, Accellos, Manhattan, Blue Yonder, SAP EWM, or similar systems
- EDI platforms or transaction support
- RF scanners, barcode label printers, Zebra devices, and warehouse printing systems
- SQL queries, data validation, reporting, or troubleshooting
- Crystal Reports

- Jira or ticketing systems

Education and Certifications
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Logistics Technology, Supply Chain Systems, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent hands-on experience will be considered in place of a degree.
- Relevant industry certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network , CompTIA Security , Microsoft 365 certifications, or equivalent experience preferred.
Work Environment
This is an on-site role supporting a logistics and warehouse operations environment. The position may require occasional after-hours support, project work, system maintenance windows, or urgent operational support depending on business needs.
