Reliability Engineer - Paper Center of Excellence Date: Feb 20, 2026 Location: Leola, PA, US Company: Dart Container Are you ready to strengthen the reliability backbone of a high-impact manufacturing operation? Leola, PA, will soon be home to Dart’s new paper plate manufacturing Center of Excellence! This industry-leading facility will be an efficient manufacturing powerhouse, built to meet the growing demand for paper-based food and beverage packaging. As a Reliability Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring our manufacturing components, equipment, and processes operate at peak performance. You’ll apply engineering knowledge to moderately complex projects focused on developing, measuring, analyzing, and implementing plans that drive equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and optimize lifecycle asset performance. This role blends technical expertise, data-driven analysis, and cross-functional leadership to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations from startup through full production maturity. What We Offer: Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits 401(k) with company match Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and paid holidays Training and development programs to support your career growth A chance to make a meaningful impact at a new Center of Excellence A collaborative and safety-first culture built on innovation and integrity What You'll Do – Results & Responsibilities: Develop and maintain lifecycle asset management processes for equipment and systems Lead Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) studies and implement maintenance strategies Apply FMEA, RCA, and risk analysis to reduce failures and improve equipment uptime Optimize preventive and predictive maintenance programs using performance data Manage and execute moderate-size reliability projects on time and within scope Review engineering designs and recommend reliability and efficiency improvements Evaluate and implement reliability tools, software, and maintenance technologies Create test parameters and support validation of engineering solutions Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, production, efficiency, and service Ensure compliance with safety standards and GMP requirements Collaborate cross-functionally and lead structured problem-solving efforts Deliver measurable results aligned with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) What You Bring – Competencies: Collaborates effectively across production, maintenance, and engineering teams Communicates clearly and confidently across all organizational levels Drives continuous improvement through structured methodologies Makes sound, data-driven decisions Demonstrates ownership, accountability, and reliability leadership Builds trust through consistency and follow-through Commits to ongoing learning and professional development Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Requires one of the following: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with three (3) years of related engineering experience, OR Associate’s degree with nine (9) years of related engineering experience Experience applying Preventative Maintenance (PM), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) programs Knowledge of engineering science and technology principles and their practical manufacturing applications Strong foundation in mathematics, statistics, and data analysis Experience with design techniques, technical drawings, and precision plans Understanding of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and cost optimization Strong logical reasoning and analytical problem-solving skills Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects independently and collaboratively Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in English to ensure effective safety and quality communication Preferred Qualifications: Six Sigma Black Belt or Lean Master certification Experience in plastics extrusion, thermoforming, injection molding, paper printing, or paper converting processes Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification Certifications in Predictive Maintenance Technologies Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) Bachelor’s degree in engineering Overview: Dart makes everyday products that give people the freedom to enjoy the food & drinks they love, wherever they are.
