Position Overview:
Under the general supervision of the school administrator, the English Learner Classroom
Assistant (ELL) assists in providing instructional support to individual or small groups of
students in assigned subject matter areas to reinforce classroom lessons in and outside the
classroom, provide instructional assistance to the classroom teacher, supervise students, and
perform a variety of related duties in the maintenance of an effective learning environment. This
role specifically focuses on assistance with the English Learner/English as a Second Language
instructional program in school classrooms and in "pull-out" situations.
