Responsible To: Director of Operations
Job Goal: Installation and general maintenance of all air-conditioning, heating and refrigeration equipment within the school system.
Performance Responsibilities

- A negative TB test must be on file prior to starting work
- High School diploma or high school equivalent
- Must possess a valid South Carolina Driver's License
- Knowledge of air-conditioning and heating systems (five years experience)
- Certificate or licensed
- Diagnostic skill of heating and air-conditioning systems

Performance Responsibilities
- Maintains neat appearance, courteous conduct, and works amicably with all school and maintenance personnel
- Participates in additional training provided by the Board of Education that would relate to this field of work
- Installs and provides general maintenance for all air-conditioning, heating and refrigeration equipment
- Works from specifications and blueprints
- Assigns and supervises helpers, apprentices and other semi-skilled workers
- Plans work schedules and places orders for necessary materials and equipment to perform work
- Provides technical advice to supervisory personnel in areas related to this field
- Possesses knowledge of materials, supplies and equipment relating to this field
- Possesses and maintains a valid South Carolina Driver's License
- Performs other related duties as required as well as all other duties as assigned
