Description: Cafeteria Operator (2026-2027 School Year)
Salary: $14.53 per hour base salary (based on full time experiemce)
*A negative TB test result must be on file prior to starting work
Location: Darlington County Schools
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or high school equivalent required
- A minimum of one (1) year food service experience or equivalent
- Driver's License required
- Supervisory references preferred
- Positive employment history preferred
- SLED/criminal background review required
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Job Status: "At-will" Employee
Job Duties:
- Performs a variety of food service activities including preparing standardized recipes and serving food for students
- Clean kitchen, kitchen equipment, serving area, and cafeteria seating area
- Interact in a postive manner with students, facilty/staff, others working in kitchen and the general public
- Operate institutional food services quipment
- Perform other related duties as required
