Job Summary
The Laboratory Support Assistant is responsible for effectively and thoroughly cleaning the glassware used in the laboratory. This position is responsible for collecting used dishware from all areas of the lab, cleaning the glassware by either or both mechanical and manual methods and then distributing the cleaned and dried glassware to the proper areas of the lab. Other duties as assigned.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities

- Thoroughly clean glassware used in the laboratory.
- Inspect glassware for total cleanliness.
- Load and unload the dishwashers.
- Collect used glassware from work areas in the laboratory.
- Distribute glassware to the correct locations in the laboratory.
- Help with General Lab Hygiene (counters, etc.).
- Assist with incoming shipments and checking packaging.
- Assist with preparatory procedures to help ensure readiness in test areas.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Minimum 6 months of experience working in a laboratory environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Meticulous and detail oriented.
- Computer skills a plus.
- Ability to work as a team member in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Demands
- Frequently required to stand for extended periods of time.
- Frequently lift up to 20 lbs.
- Occasionally push, pull, or lift 50 lbs.
Work Environment
Job functions will be carried out primarily in the laboratory.
