What are the responsibilities and job description for the Eligibility Referral Specialist 2 – Workforce position at Darke County Job and Family Services?
Conducts initial interviews and/or assessments of clients and/or applicants for a variety of Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and/or Comprehensive Case Management and Employment Program (CCMEP) and/or Work Activities (WA) programs. Determines work or training hours of participants and evaluates exclusions or exemptions as needed. Completes all necessary paperwork to establish participant into the WIOA/CCMEP/WA/ RESEA program. Completes and maintains all records and files of WIOA/CCMEP/WA/RESEA program on computer and in hard copy as required. Provides one-on-one and group instructions for clients seeking employment, coordinates the development of job shadowing, internships and work experience sites for clients; provides or arranges for job coaching assistance at the place of employment for clients as needed; works one-on-one with clients to identify desired employment options, follows up with clients and employees during training and upon employment to determine if further assistance is needed.
Completion of undergraduate major coursework in behavioral science, social science or education, OR completion of two years of technical education in behavioral science or social science OR two courses or one year of experience in behavior science, social science, or customer service techniques, or one course of six months experience in business mathematic, one course or six months experience in business English, AND one course or six months experience in interviewing techniques, AND one or six months experience in typing, keyboarding, or word processing.
$18.26 per hour. Benefits include group health insurance, paid sick/vacation leave, paid holidays and Ohio Public Employees Retirement System.
