Job Overview
As a Buyer, you will work with the Purchasing Director to execute strategies that contribute to the financial and operational success of Darden’s brand portfolio. With a focus on the procurement of commodity items, the Buyer will leverage data, financial models, and market insights to execute buys and ensure that products are coming to our restaurants at the right quality, value, time, and place.

As a Buyer, you will work with the Purchasing Director to execute strategies that contribute to the financial and operational success of Darden’s brand portfolio. With a focus on the procurement of commodity items, the Buyer will leverage data, financial models, and market insights to execute buys and ensure that products are coming to our restaurants at the right quality, value, time, and place.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Derives actionable insights from data, market intel, brands, and supplier engagements that will drive continuous improvement, cost savings, and/or cost avoidance opportunities.
- Execute buys and risk management tools as directed by the Manager while considering budgets, data analysis and engagements with industry experts.
- Deliver on precise cost modeling tools and effectively relay financials to internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams like Total Quality, Distribution, Finance, and Marketing to ensure reliability of supply at a quality, inventory, and financial perspective.
- Manage supplier relationships and participate in business reviews on an on-going basis.
- Work with suppliers and culinary teams on product innovation and development.
- This position involves frequent domestic travel, approximately 10% of the time for site visits and production audits. Flexibility and accommodation to last-minute or extended travel may be required.

- Bachelor’s Degree or 2-3 years in Supply Chain or combination of relevant experience
