We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee our financial operations and ensure compliance with accounting standards. This role involves managing the company's accounting functions, preparing financial reports, and supporting strategic financial planning. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting expertise, leadership capabilities, and experience with various accounting software systems.

Position Duties/Responsibilities: (Not Inclusive)
As the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting and financial operations of the organization. The Accounting Manager has significant responsibility for, or involvement in, a wide range of financial duties including accruals, month-end close processing, fixed assets, cash management, reporting, and internal controls. The Accounting Manager will work very closely with the team to ensure smooth operations of financial operations.
- Responsible for maintaining and reconciling the General Ledger in an accurate, complete, and up-to-date manner.
- Participate in the month-end close cycle including but not limited to preparing and managing accruals.
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of Accounts Payable.
- Responsible for all Fixed Asset processing and reporting.
- Assist with budgets and forecasts.
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and ensure accuracy in all reporting.
- Manage general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, and month-end closing processes.
- Supervise accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely processing and accurate record-keeping.
- Lead internal controls compliance, & procedures, to safeguard company assets.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliation, bank reconciliations, and cash flow analysis to maintain financial integrity.
- Support regulatory reporting requirements and assist with audits by providing necessary documentation.
- Mentor and develop finance team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis projects.
- Ensure adherence to tax regulations and assist with tax experience related to corporate finance.
- Utilize accounting software and platforms for efficient financial management.
- Other duties as assigned by Controller and Management.
Skills
- Extensive experience in corporate accounting, including governmental and non-profit sectors.
- Proficiency with financial concepts such as double entry bookkeeping, accrual accounting, and account analysis.
- Expertise in technical accounting issues including financial report writing and interpretation.
- Skilled in using Microsoft Excel for financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Experience with auditing processes, GAAP standards, SOX compliance, and financial statement preparation.
- Ability to mentor team members effectively while managing multiple priorities.
- Excellent analytical skills with a focus on accuracy in balance sheet reconciliation and bank reconciliation processes. Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Accounting required. Associate's degree or related work experience will be considered as well.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in an accounting related required. Experience with accounting in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
- CPA or CMA preferred.
- Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Accuracy and acute attention to detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work independently as well as a part of a team.
- SAP experience a plus.
