Overview:A Food Service Worker at Danville Community School District prepares and serves nutritious meals to staff members and students while maintaining high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and customer service. Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous food service or cafeteria experience is preferred but not required.

- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 45 pounds.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and portion food according to standardized recipes and menu guidelines
- Serve breakfast and lunch to students, staff, and visitors in a friendly and efficient manner
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including ovens, steamers, mixers, and dishwashers
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, serving lines, dining areas, and food preparation equipment
- Wash dishes, utensils, trays, and kitchen equipment
- Receive, inspect, and properly store food deliveries and supplies
- Follow all local, state, and federal food safety and sanitation regulations
- Monitor food temperatures and maintain proper food handling procedures
- Assist with inventory control and notify director when supplies are low
- Dispose of waste and recycling according to school procedures
- Work collaboratively with cafeteria staff, school administrators, and students to provide excellent customer service
- Assist in setting up and tearing down service area
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Food Service Director or Administration
