Duties
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot a wide range of security systems including alarms, CCTV surveillance, sensors, FIRE ALARMS, and access control devices.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal system performance and compliance with safety standards.
- Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately install low voltage cabling and electrical components.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely to complete system setups and repairs efficiently.
- Diagnose system issues related to computer networking, hardware failures, or electrical problems; implement effective solutions promptly.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their security needs; provide system demonstrations and training on remote access software and alarm sales opportunities.
- Maintain detailed service records, installation logs, and incident reports while adhering to safety protocols and company policies.
Experience
- Proven experience as a service technician in security or alarm system installation is highly preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience related to low voltage wiring, cabling, and power tools operation.
- Familiarity with computer networking concepts, surveillance systems (CCTV), IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), sensors, and telecommunication infrastructure.
- Knowledge of schematics, system design principles, NEC (National Electrical Code) standards, and construction practices related to security installations.
- Experience working with fire alarm systems, locksmithing techniques, remote access software solutions, and security system sales is a plus.
- Ability to read technical schematics accurately and work independently in the field while managing multiple projects effectively. Pay: $12.00 - $24.00 per hour
