The Director of Business Development for Cloud Solutions will play an integral role in helping to raise Dantech's profile and to augment Dantech's client base. This role will be responsible for prospecting and qualifying net new business for Dantech's Cloud Practice. This role will work with a highly collaborative, high performing team and will be accountable for planning, implementing, and reporting on significant projects that support corporate initiatives. This role will need to build and sustain relationships with various IT personas and clearly express the value proposition provided by Dantech. This role will be required to perform significant research, writing, and presenting of partnerships, contract vehicles, RFIs/RFPs, accreditations, eligibility requirements, etc. in coordination with team members to augment Dantech's brand awareness and overall sales.


This is not only a hard core sales position, a cold calling position, or a dedicated lead generation position. This is a position that requires developed learning, communication, and client-facing skills. * This position requires up to 15% travel per calendar year.

  • 4 years of working onsite in a professional office environment
  • 3 years of creating and managing project schedules
  • 3 years of experience reviewing and editing marketing/sales materials
  • 2 years of familiarity with Cloud computing concepts and terminology
  • 2 years of researching, analyzing, and compiling data
  • 2 years of leading business development and/or sales teams

To perform well in this role, you must be able to quickly adapt and adopt skills, processes, and IT specific jargon. You must also be very polished and capable with any and all communication mediums (i.e., in-person meetings, virtual meetings, text messaging, and email etiquette). You must also be technically proficient in navigating through various applications, IT portals and dashboards to conduct quality demonstrations or to accurately assess how to best help a client. A professional demeanor, professional appearance, and excellent communication is a must.


Responsibilities


The Business Development Lead will be tasked to:

  • Design, develop, and implement research development, implementation, measurement and reporting of business development projects
  • Work directly with any sales and marketing teams to raise Dantech's brand awareness and reach business development goals
  • Support Dantech promotional initiatives as needed
  • Research and draft business summaries and client dossiers on specific client targets using online content, 10-ks, and any other data to aid in the development of marketing programs, and pitch strategy
  • Read industry, legal, and business news and publications to remain aware of trends that may impact Dantech and to identify promotional opportunities
  • Assist in the creation and regular update of marketing collateral, including Web content, brochures, practice group descriptions and credentials, matter descriptions, and biographies
  • Assist in the response to RFIs and RFPs
  • Research, assess, document, and present strategic partnership or accreditation opportunities
  • Support the creation and distribution of thought leadership, such as client alerts, industry outlooks or practice guides, through careful project management, content production, and promotion via mass mailings, digital media posting, and internal newsletters and alerts
  • Research and track engagement opportunities with existing and prospective clients
  • Connect with potential new clients to initiate conversation with prospects and qualify which prospects should be invited to participate in a discovery call
  • Respond to inquiries generated through advertisements and events
  • Stay current with the latest trends/news and adapt messaging to prospects' needs and areas of interests
  • Identify prospects’ business needs and map out why Dantech is well suited to provide service
  • Schedule and facilitate business development meetings between (current or potential) clients and Dantech Leadership to construct and close deals
  • Track and maintain forward progression of Dantech vendor onboardings from initial calls to the initial SOW generation
  • Support the creation of social media and email campaigns and enhance existing campaigns to engage with prospects and generate demand
  • Assist with the creation engaging social media posts and website content to share information about Dantech service offerings
  • Learn and utilize sales tools to define, track, and chronicle engagement
  • Record and maintain outreach records in up-to-date contact information and notes
  • Track and report on individual progress to monthly and quarterly goals
  • Communicate timely and accurately with Dantech Leadership to provide updates on project activities, successes, and opportunities
  • Complete additional professional development opportunities
  • Track and present progress against quarterly goals
  • Support internal projects and office functions
  • Complete additional administrative tasks, as requested
