Office Floor Stripper
We are seeking a reliable and detail‑oriented Office Floor Stripper. The ideal candidate is comfortable with physical work, follows safety procedures, and takes pride in delivering high‑quality results.
The Floor Stripper is responsible for the deep cleaning and refinishing of floors throughout the music center. This includes stripping, waxing, buffing, and maintaining various floor surfaces to ensure they remain safe, durable, and visually appealing for daily use.
DMF’s music center is a custom designed barrier free 8700 square foot space, including five studios and offices with a private lobby.
Responsibilities
- Strip, wax, buff, and refinish various types of floor surfaces across studios, offices and common areas
- Safely operated floorcare equipment (buffers, scrubbers, wet vacuums, etc.)
- Coordinate with the Operations team to schedule work during low‑traffic hours
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas and properly store equipment and materials
- Identify and report any repairs, floor damage, maintenance or supply needs
- Operate floor‑care equipment such as buffers, burnishers, auto‑scrubbers, and wet/dry vacuums
- Safely mix and apply cleaning chemicals according to guidelines
- Remove old finish, apply new coats, and ensure even professional results
- Follow all safety protocols to prevent slips, chemical exposure, and equipment hazards
Qualifications
- Experience in floor stripping/waxing and refinishing required (commercial preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
- Ability to work independently and follow safety guidelines
- Reliable, punctual, and safety‑conscious

Pay: $30 an hour
