  • Advising clients: Counsel clients on family law issues, including marriage, divorce, child custody, adoption, guardianship, and more
  • Representing clients: Represent clients in court and in other legal proceedings
  • Negotiating: Negotiate agreements between parties
  • Researching: Research and compile evidence for cases
  • Interviewing: Interview people involved in the case
  • Drafting: Draft, negotiate, and review court documents
  • Liaising: Liaise with other professionals, such as doctors, psychologists, social workers, and police officers
  • Managing: Manage emotionally unpredictable situations
  • Preparing: Prepare pleadings, organize materials, and schedule witnesses
  • Attending: Attend networking and business development functions
  • Assist the firm with consultations
  • Spanish speaking is a plus

Summary

As a Family Law Attorney, you will be responsible for providing expert legal counsel and representation in family law matters, including divorce, child custody, and support issues. Reporting to the managing partner, you will utilize your core skills in legal research, drafting, and writing to advocate effectively for clients. Your premium skills in negotiation and estate planning will enhance your ability to resolve complex family disputes. Proficiency in Spanish will be beneficial in serving a diverse clientele, ensuring effective communication and understanding throughout the legal process. Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the state bar and active license to practice law
  • Proficient in legal research tools such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw
  • Strong writing and legal drafting skills
  • Experience in family law
  • Bilingual in Spanish, enhancing communication with diverse clients
  • Prior legal administrative experience is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
