We are seeking a skilled, client-focused Family Law Attorney who will play a key role in guiding clients through complex legal matters while collaborating with our legal team to drive strong case outcomes.
This role requires an attorney who can balance legal strategy with compassion, serving as a trusted advisor to clients during some of the most challenging times in their lives.
Position Overview
The Family Law Attorney is an essential member of our legal team and is responsible for managing cases from start to resolution. This position requires someone who can hit the ground running, work with urgency, and handle multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Active Texas law license in good standing
- 5–10 years of family law litigation experience
- Demonstrated courtroom and trial experience in family law matters
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in a wide range of family law matters, including divorce, custody disputes, child support, enforcement actions, and post-judgment modifications
- Develop case strategy and guide clients through legal options, risks, and expected outcomes
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlement agreements
- Conduct legal research and build persuasive legal arguments
- Advocate for clients in court, mediation, and other dispute resolution settings
- Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and staff to move cases forward efficiently
- Communicate regularly with clients, providing updates and ensuring clarity throughout the process
- Work with external professionals, including custody evaluators and mental health experts
- Maintain organized case management, deadlines, and compliance with firm procedures
- Utilize legal technology, including case management systems and digital tools
What We’re Looking For
- Experienced family law attorney with the ability to manage cases independently from start to finish
- Strong courtroom presence and trial experience
- Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical skills
- Ability to prioritize effectively and operate with a sense of urgency
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients
- Comfortable working with clients navigating emotionally sensitive situations
- Collaborative mindset with a willingness to support and mentor team members
- Proficiency with legal technology and case management systems
- Interest in learning or expanding into special education law (not required)
