What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cafeteria Floor Manager - 2026-2027 position at Daniel Morgan Intermediate Middle Schools?
Summary of Duties:
The floor manager assists the cafeteria manager with all aspects of the food services program at that school. Essential duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following: helps organize all food and delivery to satellite schools, completes food production records, supervises and trains cafeteria workers in preparing, serving and cooking food properly. Will run a cash register/computer for breakfast and lunch sales. Covers for the manager when manager is absent, assists with end of day clean-up duties, helps with all inventories and USDA commodities and will perform any other additional duties as assigned by the cafeteria manager.
Qualifications:
Must have high school diploma or GED. Must have at least 2 years experience and training in the food service field. Must be able to effectively interact with children, work as part of a team in completing job duties, provide training and provide direction to others, ability to operate a computer to process breakfast and lunch orders and have proper money handling skills. Experience in the area of food service management is preferred. Must be able to lift 25-50 lbs.
Salary:
Range is $17.54 - $26.18 per hour plus benefits package
Workday:
Full Time/10 month (180 days) position, 7 hours per day, Monday through Friday
