As our Senior Professional, IT Site Support , you’ll play a key role in delivering world-class IT service and second-line support to our employees at the Ames, Iowa location.

You’ll collaborate with business partners, leadership, and global IT teams and take ownership of local IT projects, infrastructure upgrades, and site initiatives, helping us move toward a more efficient and connected future.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Lead local IT initiatives: Lead local IT projects, infrastructure upgrades, and site improvement initiatives, managing everything from project plans and milestones to execution with technical teams and vendors.
  • Support internal stakeholders: Support our employees by receiving, prioritizing, and resolving user requests across phone, email, chat, and in-person channels, acting as the primary second-line support for the Ames facility.
  • Collaborate on service excellence: Collaborate with global third-line experts and business leadership to ensure proper escalation of complex cases, serving as a key point of contact for major incidents and service feedback.
  • Use your technical skills: Use your skills in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and system administration to manage users, access rights, and endpoint/infrastructure incidents in accordance with Danfoss security standards.
  • Continuously learn and improve: Continuously learn and share knowledge to advise users, prepare operational updates, and identify process improvements that elevate service quality and efficiency.

What We're Looking For
  • Experience in IT support: 3 to 5 years of related IT experience (required), with strong technical expertise supporting hardware, software (Microsoft Windows, Office, Outlook/Exchange, Teams), mobile management, and network connectivity.
  • Technical foundation: A 2-year or Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field is preferred, alongside an in-depth understanding of PC architecture, basic IT infrastructure concepts, and service management best practices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively: Ability to work effectively in a global, ever-changing environment, demonstrating self-drive, accountability, and the capacity to coordinate cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Strong communication skills: Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences, from end-users to senior leadership.
  • A mindset of customer success: An exceptional customer service mindset focused on problem-solving, with the agility to manage local, hands-on support in both office and manufacturing settings.
