What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead the design and development of power converter control systems, guiding projects from early concept through product implementation and customer application.
- Define requirements, develop control architectures and algorithms, and validate performance through simulation, testing, and analysis.
- Model and simulate power electronic systems using Software-In-The-Loop (SIL) and Hardware-In-The-Loop (HIL) environments to ensure robust and reliable operation.
- Partner closely with hardware, test, and validation teams to deliver high-quality products on time while continuously improving system performance and functionality.
- Support products throughout their lifecycle by troubleshooting technical challenges, implementing enhancements, staying current with emerging technologies, and mentoring junior engineers and students.
- Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with extensive experience in power electronics product development.
- Strong expertise in the control of power converter systems and extensive experience with PLECS, MATLAB/Simulink, SIL, and HIL development environments.
- Solid understanding of AC/DC, DC/DC, and DC/AC power conversion technologies.
- Experience with medium-voltage converter topologies and SiC-based solutions is an advantage.Experience reading and programming C and C , along with strong troubleshooting skills using laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes and data acquisition systems.
- Ability to thrive in global, cross-functional teams. Knowledge of grid codes, grid-supporting converter functions, model-based design, or applications in data centers, power generation, and marine systems is a plus.
