What You’ll Be Doing
- Load and unload valves into assembly fixtures. Transport valves to designated workstations.
- Ensure minimum production targets are met. Promptly inform the supervisor of any shortages in assembly supplies.
- Accurately interpret and follow instructions from engineering blueprints, work instructions, and Engineering Test Orders.
- Operate assembly and torque tools effectively. Inspect defective valves and perform repairs to meet specifications.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required. You should possess basic math skills and be able to read and write clearly.
- Must be capable of standing for long periods and repeatedly lifting to 50 lbs. good motor skills are essential.
- Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of manufacturing processes is necessary. Experience with TPM and SMED techniques is preferred.
- Familiarity with quality and problem-solving tools such as PPAP, capability studies, PFMEA, Gauge R&R, 4-Step, 8D, and Fishbone diagrams is expected.
