DEFINITION
Under direct supervision and guidance of the Deputy Director of Events and Guest Services, the LTE Marketing & Communications Coordinator is responsible for the marketing of the Alliant Energy Center (AEC) and events held on the AEC campus.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES
Assists with the development and implementation of marketing and communications strategies across digital and print platforms. Creates engaging content. Manages online presence. Analyzes performance, and supporting sales efforts through compelling visual and written communications. Promotes events, programs, and outreach activities using a blend of creativity, technical proficiency, and strategic thinking. Assists with the development of consistent and well-polished documentation practices. Develops standardized written formats, templates, and glossaries to improve overall organization efficiency and improved guest and client relations. Manages advertising installations and schedules. Oversees website content. Analyzes performance metrics. Contributes to strategic marketing plans. Develops sales support materials. Designs and produces sales and marketing materials, promotional items and organizational presentations. Collaborates with internal teams and external partners. Stays current with industry trends. Maintains media relationships to ensure cohesive brand representation and effective outreach.
Education, Training and Experience:
Any combination of education, training and experience equivalent to higher education courses in Journalism, Business/Marketing, Communication Arts or related field and experience in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Photoshop. Hospitality or public assembly experience are a plus (but not required).
Special Requirements:
Experience producing videos from concept to editing and final production. Ability to work long or unusual event hours, with the possibility of nights, weekends and holidays. Ability to work in a fast paced, professional, event venue environment. Also refer to the “Physical and Environmental Work Requirements” section below.

For Bilingual Positions:
- Provide services in both English and the required foreign language (e.g., Spanish, Arabic, Hmong, etc.).

Physical and Environmental Work Requirements:
Office environment. May occasionally be exposed to outdoor weather conditions. Work involves walking, sitting, standing, bending, stooping, twisting, turning, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, grasping and reaching within normal ranges. Ability to lift and move a variety of work-related materials weighing up to 25 pounds. Manual dexterity using fine and gross motor skills. Ability to speak and be heard by others. Ability to see and hear within normal ranges with or without corrective devices. Prolonged computer and phone use.
Proficient knowledge of web editing software and additional computer training. Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Photoshop. Advanced knowledge of video or audio production software or graphic design software and knowledge. Proficient knowledge of social media communications, content and posting. Excellent customer service skills. Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Ability to develop and execute marketing plans, conduct interviews and write articles. Ability to demonstrate photography skills.
