With a diverse mix of dance, strength, wellness, and community programming, Dance Society is creating an adult-focused boutique studio experience where members feel supported, inspired, and at home.
We are looking for a Community Membership Manager to help us launch and grow.
This is not a traditional front desk role.
We are looking for someone who loves people, enjoys fitness and wellness, is comfortable with social media, and gets excited about helping build something special from the ground up.
Position Overview
This hybrid role combines:

✔ Social Media Community Engagement
You will help create the warm boutique atmosphere that defines Dance Society while supporting membership growth and helping bring the studio's voice and energy to life online.
This is a primarily onsite position with some scheduled administrative and social media responsibilities.
Member Experience Front Desk
Create an elevated and welcoming studio experience.
Responsibilities include:
- Greeting and checking in members
- Learning names and building relationships
- Answering questions about classes and memberships
- Supporting instructors and class flow
- Maintaining a clean and guest-ready front desk and lobby
- Merchandise and retail support
- Event and studio support
- Helping members feel seen, supported, and connected
Membership Sales Community Growth
Help grow the Dance Society community.
Responsibilities include:
- Responding to inquiries, calls, DMs, and emails
- Scheduling and supporting studio tours
- Explaining memberships and class options
- Following up with prospective and trial members
- Supporting founding member and promotional campaigns
- Encouraging referrals and retention
- Tracking communication and leads through studio systems
- Helping support class attendance, events, and community programs
Membership Community Growth Expectations
- Respond to member and prospect inquiries within 24 business hours
- Conduct studio tours as scheduled
- Maintain lead follow-up and communication
- Support membership growth and retention initiatives
- Assist with events, promotions, and community outreach
Social Media Marketing Support
Help share the personality and energy of Dance Society.
Social media responsibilities are deliverable-based and scheduled, not open-ended.
Expected Weekly Responsibilities
Social Marketing
- 3–4 social media posts per week (Instagram/Facebook)
- 5–10 stories per week
- 1–2 reels or video features
- Promote featured classes, events, and studio announcements
- Instructor and community spotlights
- Basic Canva graphics and promotional support
- Support email or studio communications as needed
- Respond to studio DMs and messages during scheduled work hours
Content Creation
- Capture photos and video during studio shifts
- Gather instructor and class content
- Help maintain a consistent Dance Society brand voice and visual style

Schedule Compensation
Part-Time | Launch Phase Position
This position will begin with approximately 10–15 hours per week during studio launch and onboarding, with opportunity for increased hours as the studio grows and membership demand increases.
Schedule may include:
- Evening coverage
- Some mornings or weekends
- Front desk shifts
- Scheduled administrative/social media time
We are looking for someone excited to grow alongside the studio and help shape the member experience from the beginning.
Compensation:
$18–22/hour membership growth incentives
