Dance Pizazz is looking for motivated, personable individuals to train to become Professional Ballroom Dance Instructors at our St. Louis-area studio.
No ballroom dance experience is required. We train you.
Some of our strongest candidates come from backgrounds in customer service, hospitality, sales, theater, music, athletics, fitness, cheer, gymnastics, education, or other people-focused careers.

What Does a Ballroom Dance Instructor Do?
This isn't just a dance job.
Our instructors:
- Teach private and group ballroom dance lessons
- Help students prepare for weddings, social dancing, performances, and competitions
- Attend studio parties and special events
- Perform and continue developing their own dancing
- Build lasting relationships with students
- Receive ongoing professional dance and teacher training
- Have opportunities to advance into leadership and management

No Experience? Start With Us.
Selected applicants will be invited to participate in our two-week introductory ballroom training and evaluation period:
August 31 – September 11, 2026
Monday–Friday | 1:00–3:00 PM
There is no cost to participate.
During these two weeks, you'll receive professional ballroom dance instruction, meet our team, experience our studio environment, and discover what being a professional instructor is really like.
You do NOT need to prepare a dance, already know ballroom dancing, or have previous teaching experience.
This introductory period also gives our team an opportunity to evaluate your ability to learn, communication skills, professionalism, personality, and potential.
Participants are not employees during this initial complimentary training and evaluation period.
Professional Instructor Training
Candidates selected following the evaluation will be invited into our six-week Professional Instructor Training School, September 14–October 23.
You'll learn:
- Ballroom dance technique
- Lead and follow
- How to teach private lessons
- Group class instruction
- Student communication
- Performance skills
- Relationship building
- The Dance Pizazz teaching method
Successful candidates can earn their Dance Pizazz Beginning Bronze Instructor Certification and be considered for professional instructor opportunities with our studio.
