Dana Transport, a proven leader in the transportation industry, is looking for the right candidate to train as a Terminal Dispatch Clerk position in the greater North Grafton, MA area. WE WILL WORK WITH THE RIGHT PERSON TO TRAIN IN THE TRANSPORTATION FIELD! Duties include but are not limited to:
Terminal Dispatch Clerk Job Description:
- Review driver paperwork and all trip documentation and prepare them for forwarding to administrative office for processing.
- Perform driver log check entries.
- Administer and document all petty cash disbursements and replenishments.
- Prepare purchase orders as required and match invoices to related purchase order numbers.
- Maintain inventory of office supplies and replenish as required.
- Track and record driver attendance records.
- Handle customer service inquiries & requests and prepare customer requested reports.
- Type and distribute correspondence upon request.
- Update on-time pickup and delivery records as required.
- Support the dispatch function by performing some or all of the following:
- Take check calls from drivers and pass dispatch information to the drivers calling as assigned by the dispatcher.
- Assume dispatch/supervision responsibilities for a fleet of drivers on as needed bases.
- Support dispatch/customer service functions with the assistance of the terminal manger in the absence of the main dispatcher.
- Support main dispatcher in record keeping and computer entry as directed by the dispatcher.
This Terminal Dispatch Clerk position is hourly and full-time Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm, 40 hours/week.

Terminal Dispatch Clerk Requirements:
- Administrative/office experience is required.
- Dispatch experience a plus but not required. WE WILL TRAIN THE RIGHT PERSON!
- Computer literate with a strong attention to detail.
- Good interpersonal and communicative skills.
- Analytical skills sufficient to calculate and prepare records as required.
- Pre-employment background check.
- High School degree or equivalent GED certificate required.
- This is an in person office position.
