Job Skills and Requirements:
The successful candidate will become an integral member of Dan Cristiani’s Excavating team working with an on-site crew.
JOB DUTIES:
- The ability to operate off-road heavy equipment
- Can perform preventative maintenance on heavy equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment life
- Can develop and adhere to preventive maintenance schedules for all heavy equipment
- Knowledge on Tier IV Emissions requirements
- Knowledge of the proper tools to use based on each job requirement
- Complete all detailed maintenance records of each service completed within company guidelines.
- Proficient in diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues.
- Can thoroughly fill out work orders on the correct ordering systems
- Can maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with OSHA standards, and perform all work in accordance with company policies.
- Willingness to perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven experience in equipment repair or a vocational school
- Strong knowledge of heavy equipment and how to operate them
Physical Work Environment
- Ability to Lift up to 90 lbs.
- Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, climb or crawl under or on top of equipment
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the job, such as prolonged physical exertion, and may require prolonged standing, bending, kneeling, squatting, and working in awkward positions.
- Exposure to noise, heat, dust, and fumes as found in a repair facility.
Other Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid drivers license with a good driving record
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- CDL preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
