Responsibilities
- Assist with landscape installation and maintenance tasks such as planting, mowing, pruning, and edging to ensure healthy and attractive outdoor spaces
- Operate hand tools and power equipment including trimmers, blowers, lawn mowers, and small excavators to complete daily tasks efficiently
- Support hardscape projects by preparing sites, laying pavers or stonework, and installing features like walkways or retaining walls
- Conduct landscape maintenance activities such as irrigation system setup and repair, lawn care routines, and seasonal snow plowing when applicable
- Perform tree care including trimming, pruning, and basic arborist tasks to promote tree health and safety
- Maintain equipment by performing routine inspections and basic repairs to ensure optimal operation
- Follow safety protocols consistently while working around construction sites and with heavy machinery
Requirements
- Prior experience or familiarity with landscaping practices and horticulture principles is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Mechanical knowledge related to power tools, hand tools, and small machinery such as excavators is highly desirable
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy materials, standing for extended periods, and working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Knowledge of lawn care techniques including mowing, edging, fertilizing, and weed control
- Basic understanding of irrigation systems and garden maintenance practices
